the tree is beautiful
glittering in the
night like dreams
of what I once
wished for
lights reflecting
in the window
behind making
fairy tales true
and the loves
of my life
ever present
a christmas that I
longed for as a
child before I even
knew that it could be
so
with the family gathered
and then gone
and the tree still
present
lighting the guideway
to my star.
